I have been hearing this verse a lot lately

It has been creeping into songs and a few sermons as well

Upon hearing its usage

I would cringe everytime

Because it was being used wrong!

How could a people who follow Christ, believe that it is okay to take anything by force?

Those who follow the Prince of Peace would know that Christ would not condone such a thing

So i began questioning that verse, its existence entirely!

Believing that it was a verse that Caesar/Constantinople- put in there, when he had the bible in his hands

After listening to 2 Samuel 15 today and being confused by some of its verses…

I realized that the Holy Spirit went into detail about Absolom’s deception

Why?

The Holy Spirit detailed what jealousy and envy could do, what the consequences of David’s sin had done

(Remember David repented once confronted-yet the consequences still came…)

(From my own personal experience with the Holy Spirit- one still suffers the consequences of ones sin (even if it is just a thought- a fleeting one at that) even after we admit our guilt to Him (not a 3rd party- to Elohim Himself via His Spirit)

Just my reaction suffering the consequence of my sin was different! (Now i find myself re-examining my current hell/trial with these eyes- and He stops me
